# Can Social Media Schedulers Post to Reddit? Publer, Buffer, Hootsuite, Typefully, Later and Hypefury Checked (2026)

Key takeaway

Publer, Buffer, Hootsuite, Typefully, Later and Hypefury do not publish to Reddit, and OneUp at oneupapp.io stopped in June 2026 after losing Reddit API access. SocialBu still lists Reddit publishing, and OneUp Today posts to Reddit through its free Chrome extension from your own logged-in session after you approve each post. Reddit gates API access behind approval and every subreddit has its own rules, so for most founders the better Reddit play is replying to people already asking for what you build.

This article is part of our [Social Media Automation Guide](https://oneup.today/social-media-automation-guide).

## The short answer

Mostly no. Publer, Buffer, Hootsuite, Typefully, Later and Hypefury do not publish to Reddit, and OneUp at oneupapp.io switched Reddit posting off in June 2026. Of the nine tools below, SocialBu is the only scheduler that still lists direct Reddit publishing, and OneUp Today posts to Reddit through its Chrome extension, from your own logged-in session, after you approve each post.

Every row was checked against the tool's own help center, pricing page or feature page on 13 September 2026. Reddit support changes fast, so the date matters.

## Reddit support matrix (checked 13 September 2026)

| Tool | Publishes to Reddit natively | Workaround (Zapier/Make/reminder) | Notes |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| **Publer** | No | A Zapier or Make Reddit action, outside Publer | Help center lists 13 networks (updated 30 July 2026): Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, YouTube, WordPress, TikTok, Telegram, Mastodon, Threads, Bluesky. Reddit scheduling is a user request on Publer's feedback board. |
| **Buffer** | No | A Zapier or Make Reddit action, outside Buffer | 11 networks: Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, Google Business Profile, YouTube Shorts, Mastodon, Threads, Bluesky (plus Buffer's own Start Page). |
| **Hootsuite** | No | A third-party Reddit app in its App Directory ($5.99, by Synaptive) follows subreddits and runs keyword searches. It does not post. | Supported networks: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, X, TikTok, Bluesky, YouTube, Pinterest, WhatsApp, Google Business Profile. |
| **Typefully** | No | Zapier lists a Reddit + Typefully integration | Publishes to X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon and Instagram. |
| **Later** | No | A Zapier or Make Reddit action, outside Later | Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Snapchat. No X either. Later for Reddit (laterforreddit.com) is a separate Reddit-only scheduler on its own domain. |
| **Hypefury** | No | A Zapier or Make Reddit action, outside Hypefury | Bluesky, Threads, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Mastodon. Its FAQ now says it no longer supports X. |
| **OneUp (oneupapp.io)** | No, not since June 2026 | Says it is looking into a mobile-notification option where you finish each post by hand | Added Reddit posting in April 2025. Its help article, updated 17 June 2026, says Reddit shut down API access and posting to Reddit is not supported. Reddit still appears in its social listening. A different company from OneUp Today. |
| **SocialBu** | Yes | Not needed | Text, link, image, gallery, GIF and video posts with flair and a first comment. Each subreddit connects as its own account. Paid plans from $29/month. |
| **OneUp Today (oneup.today)** | Yes, through its free Chrome extension | Not needed | Text and image posts submit from your own logged-in Reddit session, not from a server. A scheduled post becomes a draft when it comes due, you get a notification, and you click send. $0.02 per post. |

A note on the Zapier and Make route: Zapier's Reddit app lists a Create Post action and Make's lists Submit a Post. Both connect to Reddit's API, the same access oneupapp.io lost, so treat them as a stopgap, not a system.

## Why most schedulers skip Reddit

Three reasons, and none of them is laziness.

- **API access is gated.** Reddit's Responsible Builder Policy says you must request access and get explicit approval before using Reddit data through its API, and commercial use needs written approval. A scheduler that sells Reddit posting is a commercial app, so its Reddit channel lives or dies on that approval.
- **Access gets pulled.** GummySearch, a popular Reddit research tool, closed on 30 November 2025 to comply with Reddit API policies that it said forbid commercial applications. oneupapp.io switched off Reddit posting in June 2026. A Reddit integration can disappear with one policy change.
- **Subreddits are not channels.** On Instagram you post to your own account. On Reddit you post into someone else's community, with its own self-promotion rules, required flair, and karma or account-age minimums. A calendar tool knows none of that, and a scheduled promo that breaks a rule gets removed. Check a subreddit first with the free [self-promotion rules checker](https://oneup.today/tools/reddit-self-promotion-checker).

## Publer and Buffer: no Reddit channel

Publer's help center lists 13 networks and Buffer's lists 11. Reddit is on neither list. Both are good generalist schedulers for the networks they do cover, and scheduling Reddit posts shows up only as a user request on Publer's feedback board. If Reddit is the reason you are shopping, read [Publer vs OneUp Today for Reddit](https://oneup.today/vs/publer) and [Buffer vs OneUp Today](https://oneup.today/vs/buffer) before you pick.

## Hootsuite: Reddit monitoring, not Reddit posting

Hootsuite's supported networks are Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, X, TikTok, Bluesky, YouTube, Pinterest, WhatsApp and Google Business Profile. The Reddit app in its App Directory is a third-party add-on by Synaptive, $5.99, that follows subreddits and runs keyword searches. That covers listening. It does not publish. The full picture is in [Hootsuite vs OneUp Today](https://oneup.today/vs/hootsuite).

## Typefully and Hypefury: writing tools for other networks

Typefully publishes to X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon and Instagram. Hypefury now covers Bluesky, Threads, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and Mastodon, and its FAQ says it no longer supports X. Neither mentions Reddit. Both are built for growing a following with posts and threads, which is a different job from finding buyers in subreddits. Compare [Typefully vs OneUp Today](https://oneup.today/vs/typefully) or [Hypefury vs OneUp Today](https://oneup.today/vs/hypefury).

## Later: Instagram first, and Later for Reddit is not Later

Later supports Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Snapchat. No Reddit, and no X. The name you may have seen in search, Later for Reddit at laterforreddit.com, is a separate Reddit-only scheduler on its own domain, not a Later channel. See [Later vs OneUp Today](https://oneup.today/vs/later).

## OneUp (oneupapp.io): had Reddit, then lost it

Two different companies share the OneUp name. OneUp at **oneupapp.io** is a multi-platform social media scheduler. **OneUp Today**, at oneup.today, is the Reddit lead generation tool you are reading now. oneupapp.io added Reddit posting in April 2025. Its help article, updated 17 June 2026, says Reddit shut down API access and that posting to Reddit is not supported, and that it is looking into a mobile-notification option where you finish each post by hand. Reddit still shows up in its social listening. The full breakdown is in [OneUp Today vs OneUp (oneupapp.io)](https://oneup.today/vs/oneupapp).

## Which schedulers still post to Reddit

**SocialBu** lists direct Reddit publishing: text, link, image, gallery, GIF and video posts, with flair and a first comment, and each subreddit connected as its own account. Paid plans start at $29/month. Its Reddit channel runs on the same API access as everyone else's, so recheck it before you build a workflow on it. Reddit-only schedulers such as Later for Reddit also exist.

**OneUp Today** takes a different route: it does not post to Reddit from a server at all. The free [OneUp Today Chrome extension](https://oneup.today/chrome-extension) submits text and image posts from your own logged-in Reddit session in your browser. When a scheduled post comes due it becomes a draft, you get a notification, and you click send. Nothing goes out unattended. A post costs $0.02, on the same [multi-platform publishing](https://oneup.today/content) queue as X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Threads and the rest.

## What to do instead

1. **Posting once a week or less?** Post by hand. A scheduler saves you nothing on one post, and writing it live makes you read the subreddit's rules first.
2. **Need Reddit on a calendar?** Use a tool that actually lists Reddit (SocialBu, a Reddit-only scheduler, or OneUp Today's extension), or a Zapier or Make Reddit action as a stopgap. Keep one human check per subreddit either way.
3. **Want customers, not just posts?** Spend most of your Reddit time replying to people already asking for what you build. In [our study of 5,756 Reddit DMs](https://oneup.today/reddit-dm-benchmarks), short personalized outreach to people describing a problem replied at 26.6%. The [Reddit marketing guide](https://oneup.today/reddit-marketing-guide) covers how to do it without getting banned, and [OneUp Today's Reddit lead generation](https://oneup.today/marketing) scans your subreddits, scores each post 0 to 100 for buying intent, and drafts the DM or reply in your voice for you to approve. A campaign run is $0.25, and every account starts with $3 of free credit, no card.

Reddit is not one of them, and scheduling Reddit posts is a user request on Publer's feedback board. For Reddit, use a Zapier or Make Reddit action, SocialBu, or OneUp Today's Chrome extension.

Can Buffer schedule Reddit posts?

No. Buffer supports 11 networks (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, Google Business Profile, YouTube Shorts, Mastodon, Threads and Bluesky) and Reddit is not among them. You need a separate tool for Reddit, such as SocialBu, a Zapier or Make Reddit action, or OneUp Today, which posts to Reddit through its Chrome extension after you approve each post.

Does Typefully support Reddit?

No. Typefully publishes to X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon and Instagram. Zapier lists a Reddit and Typefully integration if you want to connect the two, but Typefully itself has no Reddit channel.

Does Hootsuite post to Reddit?

No. Reddit is not in Hootsuite's supported networks. Its App Directory has a third-party Reddit app (by Synaptive, $5.99) that follows subreddits and runs keyword searches, which covers listening, not publishing.

Which social media schedulers can post to Reddit in 2026?

As of 13 September 2026, SocialBu lists direct Reddit publishing, and OneUp Today posts text and image posts to Reddit through its free Chrome extension, from your own logged-in session, after you approve each one.
